A short guide for journey.

Dear my daughter,

I hope this letter finds you well and thriving in all aspects of your life. As your father, it’s my duty and privilege to share some valuable insights with you, ones that I believe will guide you through the journey of life.

A woman’s path to growth and wisdom is illuminated by three significant sources:

1. Reading. Knowledge is a powerful tool, my dear. It opens doors to new worlds, cultures, and perspectives. By reading, you not only gain knowledge but also develop empathy, critical thinking, and a deeper understanding of the world around you. Make reading a lifelong habit, for books are your faithful companions on this incredible journey. Novel, poet, short story makes your feelings more sensitive. Argumentative, opinion, news can make your reasoning and logical thinking awaken. i recommend you read To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, or Dan Damai di Bumi by Karl May.

2. Mistakes. Don’t be afraid to stumble, my sweet daughter. Mistakes are the steppingstones to wisdom. They teach you valuable lessons, resilience, and the strength to persevere. Embrace your mistakes, learn from them, and let them shape you into a stronger, wiser person. Mistakes about choosing the wrong vacation destination, clothes, school, job, boyfriend, even other things. learn from the situation. take wisdom and learn from it. I once bought the wrong train ticket because I didn’t look at the schedule carefully. But finally on that road, I met a kind counter clerk. He took care of my ticket well, even though I had to pay extra money. Giving thanks sometimes costs a lot, dear.

3. Association with other smarter people. Surround yourself with those who inspire you, challenge your thinking, and push you to be your best self. Smart, kind, and ambitious people will uplift you, provide guidance, and encourage you to reach for the stars. Cherish these relationships, for they are a source of growth and inspiration. join a hobby community such as book readers, old city walkers, mountain climbers, choirs. Whatever that community is. By joining this community, you learn how to place yourself and your ideals against others, understand others, build empathy, learn lessons from working together, and meet colleagues who will sharpen your vision and lessons for life. In my experience, joining a community is about learning about people. You will see sincerity and hypocrisy on the same stage. This is very valuable later in your next life.

Remember, my dear, life is a journey filled with ups and downs, but these three pillars – reading, learning from mistakes, and surrounding yourself with wise individuals – will light your way. I have full confidence that you will continue to grow into the incredible woman I know you are destined to be.

Always know that I am here for you, ready to support and love you unconditionally. This flower for you, from Godean Yogyakarta when I was walking in the morning and remembering you.

With all my love,

Your dad.
